Course Detail
Level I (Preliminary) meet CEFR B2 & IELTS 6 requirements.
Level II CEFR B2/C1 & IELTS 6.5 requirements as outlined below:
- Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialisation.
- Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
- Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options

How it works?
The course is designed to improve the Academic English ability of the learner to use the English language for further academic studies as well as preparing students to be able to pass an IELTS test at Level 6 to 6.5 to meet English entry requirements into further Higher Education courses.

Duration
- 24 maximum weeks – 20 teaching weeks & up to 4 weeks holiday (Christmas Closure).
- Each level is for 10 weeks with 2 weeks holiday between levels.

Intake Date
Students can enrol into the course at any time during the year depending on student numbers already enrolled.
Delivery Mode
20 hours per week face to face contact at campus.
- Completed Year 12 or overseas equivalent.
- English: minimum score of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent or an English Proficiency of upper-intermediate level
- 18 years of age or over
- Basic computer skills
- Must meet student visa requirements.

The EAP course articulates to university direct entry students from the EAP Program to a Higher Education Program. Students entering the program must meet the course entry requirements IELTS score level from no more than 2 years prior to the course commencement date.The IELTS exam is used by most universities as an entry requirement to their course.
Tuition fee – Course fee $300 per week
Non-Tuition fee – Enrolment fee $250
Non-Tuition fee – Course Material fee $100 per level
