On completion students will have an English Language base to be able to confidently communicate in the community, study, work and other real life social situations, equivalent to their level of course completion.
Students will be able to continue into their chosen tertiary/higher education course on satisfactory completion of the level/s required that meet the course’s entry requirements. Students may also continue into further specialised English specific courses.

How it works?
The course is designed to provide English learning for students to progress according to their level at commencement, their learning abilities, and the duration of their study. This progression takes place under the implementation of both formative and summative tests/assessments across reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Duration
- 76 maximum weeks. (60 teaching weeks & 16 weeks holiday)
- Each level is for 10 weeks with 2 weeks holiday between levels.

Intake Date
Students can enrol into the course at any time during the year depending on student numbers already enrolled.
Delivery Mode
20 hours per week face to face contact at campus.
- Completed Year 12 or overseas equivalent.
- English: minimum score of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent or an English Proficiency of upper-intermediate level
- 18 years of age or over
- Basic computer skills
- Must meet student visa requirements.

The General English course does not articulate with any program external to the college. However, the course will help at improving the general English ability of the learner to use the English language for further academic studies or work/social/everyday situations.
Tuition fee – Course fee $300 per week
Non-Tuition fee – Enrolment fee $250
Non-Tuition fee – Course Material fee $100 per level
